UAE credit card lounge access depends on the card’s network programme, eligible airport terminal, visit allowance, guest rules and qualifying transactions. Check Visa Airport Companion, Mastercard Travel Pass, LoungeKey or Priority Pass before travelling, rather than relying only on the card’s marketing label.
Do the checks before departure, when you still have time to register, clarify a condition or choose an alternative. The words “worldwide access” do not mean every lounge in an airport or every guest is complimentary.

Visa’s UAE guidance moved participating benefits to Visa Airport Companion from October 2024. An old reference to LoungeKey on a blog is not enough to establish the current channel for your Visa card. Some issuer pages also contain different descriptions in their marketing and FAQs; follow the current card-specific terms and get clarification if they conflict.
Spend triggers and visit limits
Some programmes require a small eligible non-AED transaction within a defined period. The amount, period and initial allowance vary. Emirates NBD’s Mastercard guidance, for example, describes a qualifying international transaction and tier-specific rules; it does not establish the same entitlement for all Mastercard products.
Citi Premier currently has a published 14-visit allowance with conditions. A guest uses entitlement under the relevant terms. HSBC Premier and Skywards Infinite have different structures. Check the live card records below and the issuer’s linked source.
Allow time for eligible activity to be recognised in the app. An authorisation on your card is not proof that the lounge system has updated. If the app shows paid rather than complimentary access, clarify that before asking reception to process entry.

This is a location guide, not a promise that every named lounge accepts every card. Airport directories establish that a venue exists; your access programme establishes whether your membership can use it.
Pearl Lounge’s official page lists several membership channels and an AED 265 paid three-hour option. Paid showers and other extras can be separate. Check the app’s current venue entry, admission period and guest charges even when the airport lists your programme.

Families and supplementary cards
Count people as well as trips. Four family members entering twice can consume eight visits if the programme deducts one entry per person. A complimentary guest allowance, where available, may work differently. Children’s charging rules can also vary by venue and programme.
Do not presume a supplementary card creates another full annual allowance. Check whether it gets a separate membership or shares the main account’s entitlement. Make sure the traveller’s registered name and access method match the programme’s requirements.
Is the lounge benefit worth the card fee?
Use visits you expect to make and a price you would actually pay. Eight assumed visits at AED 147 give AED 1,176, but that is a planning example rather than a universal airport entry price. If you already get lounge access through your ticket or another membership, avoid counting the same visit twice.

Frequently asked questions
Can I show my Visa card at any lounge?
Do not assume that is enough. Eligible cards may require registration and a digital membership in Visa Airport Companion. Follow your issuer’s current instructions for the exact card.
Is Mastercard Travel Pass the same as Priority Pass?
No. They are different access channels. A lounge may participate in several programmes while your card entitlement applies to only one.
Are guests automatically free?
No. A guest can consume a complimentary visit or incur a separate fee. Verify the allowance and remaining entitlement before entering together.
Can I use a lounge in a different DXB terminal?
Access depends on your itinerary, airport transit arrangements and the lounge’s location. Do not plan a terminal change solely for a card benefit without checking the airport and your available time.
