HSBC Live+ vs HSBC Cash+

HSBC Live+ is the more natural starting point for a dining, fuel and grocery budget. Cash+ is aimed at higher, consistent spending that reaches its separate periodic targets. A one-off purchase does not automatically unlock every Cash+ bonus.

Carrying a balance? Interest or profit charges can outweigh rewards. Check repayment costs before choosing a rewards card.

The differences that should decide your shortlist

  • Cash+ has a materially higher published salary floor and recurring fee.
  • Its monthly, quarterly and annual bonuses are separate additions to base cashback, not compounding returns.
  • Live+ category earning and fee relief have their own qualifying rules.

What will the fees and rewards mean in AED?

Same AED 10,000 monthly budget, paid in full. Net value is eligible rewards plus qualifying welcome offers, less modelled card, joining and plan fees. FX charges, borrowing costs and unpriced perks are excluded.

  • Foreign currency processing: bank 2.1% including VAT plus a separate scheme fee up to 1.21% including VAT. Overseas AED processing is 1.05%; merchant exchange rates can add costs.
