CBD Al Islami Super Saver Signature vs DIB SHAMS Signature
CBD Al Islami Super Saver Signature: Cashback with eligible groceries spending. DIB SHAMS Signature: DIB Walaa with eligible dining spending. Start with eligibility, reward use and total recurring cost.
Same AED 10,000 monthly budget, paid in full. Net value is eligible rewards plus qualifying welcome offers, less modelled card, joining and plan fees. FX charges, borrowing costs and unpriced perks are excluded.
CBD Al Islami Super Saver Signature has the higher ongoing modelled value by AED 2,496.75 a year on this AED 10,000 monthly budget. This is an estimate using the stated redemption assumptions, not a personal recommendation or guaranteed saving.
A higher estimate does not establish eligibility. Restricted points and miles need a redemption you can use. Benchmark calculated 2026-10-25; product terms retain the review dates below. Negative values show fees exceeding modelled rewards.
Conditional welcome and campaign value included: AED 0. It requires the bank’s new-customer, application-date and spending conditions; it is not a guaranteed payment.
Published renewal fee used; unverified discretionary or relationship waivers are excluded.
Partial forecast for direct bills, education, supermarket and fuel transactions under the bank’s published monthly tiers. Telecom shares the bills cap but is excluded from this forecast. Insurance, bank-channel payments, aggregators, instalments and other excluded transactions must not be entered as eligible retail. Earning is limited by the approved credit limit. No unverified renewal waiver is assumed.
DIB SHAMS Signature assumptions
Conditional welcome and campaign value included: AED 0. It requires the bank’s new-customer, application-date and spending conditions; it is not a guaranteed payment.
Published renewal fee used; unverified discretionary or relationship waivers are excluded.
No annual fee in year 1. Subsequent fees are waived after AED 30,000 annual spend.
SHAMS statement cashback uses 20,000 Walaa points = AED 80, so 10 points/AED is 4% cash value (not the advertised 5% travel/bill value). Dining point caps and reduced merchant rates are applied; travel boosts and selected-merchant welcome cashback are excluded.
A lighter budget can miss a spending gate; a bill-heavy budget can earn reduced rates. These examples use the same rules as the personal selector.
