FAB Cashback Islamic has the higher ongoing modelled value by AED 1,431 a year on this AED 10,000 monthly budget. This is an estimate using the stated redemption assumptions, not a personal recommendation or guaranteed saving.

A higher estimate does not establish eligibility. Restricted points and miles need a redemption you can use. Benchmark calculated 2026-10-29; product terms retain the review dates below. Negative values show fees exceeding modelled rewards.

Perks and exclusions

  • Lounges: Platinum page mentions 25+ regional lounges. World tier travel rules to be confirmed.
  • Cinema: No current offer verified.
  • Official product page salary criterion AED 10,000.
  • Platinum monthly caps: merchant 50/dining 50/snacks 50/other 50; World merchant 100/dining 100/foreign 100/snacks 100; World other retail 1% beyond these caps.
  • April 2026 terms expressly include restaurant MCCs 5811/5812/5814/7011, so QSR belongs in the dining rate; no need to exclude all Dining.
  • Utilities are conservatively zero because government-coded payments are excluded.
  • Monthly period is statement cycle 11th to 10th, not calendar month. Assume steady spending each cycle.
  • Do not sum the separate 50% refreshments benefit into Dining; it refers to cinema/entertainment MCCs 7832/7929/7911.
  • Bank foreign-currency processing margin includes 5% VAT in the displayed percentage. Visa/Mastercard scheme processing and exchange-rate effects can be additional.
  • New LIFE World welcome cashback AED 1,000 requires AED 10,000 qualifying purchases within 60 days of issuance. The model assumes the published new-customer offer applies; confirm it in your issued offer. Excluded financing, instalment, reversal and refund transactions do not count.

Perks and exclusions

  • Lounges: Mastercard World lounge benefit for cardholder and one guest; qualifying conditions apply.
  • Cinema: No current offer verified.
  • Conservative detailed expat schedule: 5% groceries/fuel/dining, each capped AED 150/month; 3% non-AED, 1% other eligible and 0.15% selected MCCs, AED 1,000 overall cap.
  • Detailed programme terms require AED 3,000 in the preceding calendar month; this model therefore assumes no rewards in the first calendar month. Marketing no-minimum-spend wording and clause 8 conflict and remain unresolved.
  • UAE-national detailed caps differ: AED 200 for each accelerated category and AED 1,500 overall.
  • Annual membership fee AED 300 excluding VAT = AED 315; retail profit rate up to 3.99% monthly.
  • The separate Islamic fee schedule states 2.61% international fee + 1.15% scheme charges and says fees inclusive of VAT unless otherwise specified; do not apply the conventional FAB extra-VAT fee assumption to this record.
  • Commodity Murabahah structure. Non-Shariah-compliant merchant types are blocked. Zero-profit instalment conversions and financial/fee transactions do not earn cashback.
