How does the answer change with your budget?

A lighter budget can miss a spending gate; a bill-heavy budget can earn reduced rates. These examples use the same rules as the personal selector.

Perks and exclusions

  • Lounges: Visa Airport Companion: up to eight complimentary lounge visits per calendar year; confirm activation and spend eligibility.
  • Cinema: No current offer verified.
  • Current product and March 2025 FAQ say free for life and up to AED 135 cashback per month at listed merchants after meeting the AED 5,000 monthly spend criterion. Do not substitute old Starter/One Plus/VIP selectable-plan terms from the older CBD One microsite.
  • Selected merchants include noon, Airbnb, Booking.com, Amazon, iTunes, Uber, Careem, named food-delivery apps, streaming, cinema, coffee and fitness brands. Cashback cannot exceed actual qualifying merchant spend; transaction posting dates and account status matter.
  • The latest FAQ says at least AED 5,000 spend on selected merchants, while an alternate 2025 FAQ example describes total monthly spend plus smaller selected-merchant purchases. Confirm this eligibility conflict with CBD. No reward forecast is shown.
  • Cinema and golf benefits in the March 2025 FAQ expired on 9 May 2025; they are not presented as current benefits.
  • Current CBD conventional tariff (updated 17 December 2025) and September 2026 KFS publish a 3.5% international transaction fee on overseas AED and non-AED purchases, plus scheme processing. The VAT-inclusive heading and VAT-applicability footnote conflict: 3.5% is used as published, without adding VAT again. Confirm posted treatment. Exchange conversion and merchant DCC are separate.
