What will the fees and rewards mean in AED?

Same AED 10,000 monthly budget, paid in full. Net value is eligible rewards plus qualifying welcome offers, less modelled card, joining and plan fees. FX charges, borrowing costs and unpriced perks are excluded.

An AED-value winner is not established because a reward conversion or recurring fee is unconfirmed. Use the verified differences and ask the issuer about missing terms.

A higher estimate does not establish eligibility. Restricted points and miles need a redemption you can use. Benchmark calculated 2026-10-24; product terms retain the review dates below. Negative values show fees exceeding modelled rewards.

ADCB 365 Cashback assumptions

Conditional welcome and campaign value included: AED 365. It requires the bank’s new-customer, application-date and spending conditions; it is not a guaranteed payment.

Published renewal fee used; unverified discretionary or relationship waivers are excluded.

Partial estimate: direct utility merchant assumed; school fees excluded conservatively. No separate subscription, Salik, EU geography or credit-limit inputs; merchant coding and assigned limit can reduce earnings.

FAB ADNOC Rewards assumptions

Conditional welcome and campaign value included: Not estimated. It requires the bank’s new-customer, application-date and spending conditions; it is not a guaranteed payment.

Renewal waiver assumes at least AED 48,000 qualifying spend in the preceding card year.

AED 315 including VAT in year one. From year two, the renewal fee can be waived after AED 48,000 retail spend in the preceding anniversary year. Staff exemptions are separate; this is not unconditionally free for life.

1,000 ADNOC Rewards points = AED 1 toward eligible ADNOC fuel and purchases. This is restricted redemption value, not statement cashback. No minimum redemption balance; points expire two years after earning.

Annual rewards are not estimated: FAB floors each purchase’s calculated AED value-back to a whole dirham. Monthly totals do not reveal that rounding, ADNOC-specific purchases or all merchant codes. For example, an eligible AED 50 purchase at 1% produces zero value-back after rounding. Verified rates below are descriptive, not inputs to an aggregate forecast.

Perks and exclusions

  • Lounges: No complimentary access verified
  • Cinema: VOX Buy 1 Get 1: up to four complimentary tickets per month per card; book the same screening on VOX website/app; eligible formats vary.
  • AED 5,000 monthly retail threshold; AED 1,000 monthly cashback cap; earning spend is also limited to the assigned credit limit.
  • Model assumes direct utility-merchant payment at 0.5%. ADCB-channel bill payments are excluded; school fees remain excluded conservatively because the bank also lists education among selected 0.5% MCCs.
  • International estimate assumes eligible non-EU retail at 1%; EU retail earns 0.5%. Domestic category rates must not be applied indiscriminately to foreign transactions.
  • Direct eligible digital and AI subscriptions earn 5%; third-party/app-store billing does not qualify. The Islamic merchant list differs from the conventional list.

Perks and exclusions

  • Lounges: FAB advertises access to 1,300+ lounges after USD 1 equivalent spending. Confirm activation, qualifying-spend timing, visit allowance and guest charges with FAB; these details are not fully established in the reviewed card sources.
  • Cinema: Two standard 2D tickets per month at AED 20 each at eligible Reel, Cine Royal and Star Cinemas after AED 3,000 monthly spend. Full price can be charged on the next statement if the spend gate is missed; premium formats excluded.
  • The annual fee is AED 315 including VAT. Renewal relief requires AED 48,000 retail spending in the previous anniversary year; it does not waive the ordinary first-year fee.
  • ADNOC, domestic toll/parking and domestic grocery rewards require AED 3,000 spending in the preceding calendar month. They earn zero if that gate is missed, with no base-rate fallback.
  • Base domestic, non-AED retail and selected-category earning do not have the same AED 3,000 gate. Non-AED classification takes precedence by currency code.
  • ADNOC station rewards are capped at 150,000 points per month. Toll/parking and grocery categories each have a 100,000-point cap. Total monthly earning is capped at 1,000,000 points, excluding welcome points.
  • Calculated AED value-back is rounded down per transaction to a whole dirham; rounding a monthly total would overstate points. Reward earning is also limited to monthly spending up to the assigned credit limit.
  • Redeem 1,000 points for AED 1 toward eligible ADNOC purchases. Points are not statement cashback, have no minimum redemption balance and expire after two years.
  • The dated 300,000-point welcome offer requires card issuance by 17 December 2026, annual-fee payment and the second statement. FAB/ADNOC staff are excluded.
  • Selected reduced categories include education, utilities, insurance, non-ADNOC fuel, real estate and quick-service restaurants. Cash advances, fees, charity and other specified transactions do not earn; read the bank’s complete MCC/MID and exclusion rules.
  • The current KFS quotes an FX bank charge up to 2.74%, plus an unquantified scheme charge. Borrowing is separately priced at 3.99% monthly; neither is a reward saving.
  • The cinema allowance requires AED 3,000 monthly spending and eligible standard 2D screenings. Lounge access is conditional; no unlimited visits or free guest allowance is assumed.
  • Gold ADNOC membership and lifestyle vouchers depend on eligibility, ADNOC approval and the applicable promotion. They have no assigned AED forecast. Normal station loyalty earning is not assumed to stack with credit-card rewards.
